Leaf Relief gutter guards
Leaf Relief is a gutter guard system that keeps leaves and debris out of the gutters while letting water flow through. It can be worth adding when a roof sits under trees that fill gutters every fall.
Choosing a shingle for a Herndon home
- Check your HOA first. Many Herndon-area communities set approved colors or product types for roofs.
- If the home is in the Town of Herndon's historic district, roof replacements generally need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Historic District Review Board, and material choice is part of that review.
- On a townhouse, consider how the new shingle will look next to neighbors' roofs.
- Ask how the manufacturer's warranty is registered and what it covers, and get that in writing from the manufacturer's own documents.
